My favorite conference-y stuff this year with La Leche League:

This amazing auction win, “The Womanly Art of Breastfeeding,” for which the awesome, can’t-be-outbid-for-anything Designated Dad fought pretty hard. The “Buy It Now” price? …priceless. Why? Because it’s an early copy signed by all seven original La Leche League founders, several of whom are no longer alive.

When I think of Mother’s Day, what usually comes to mind is breakfast in bed, spa afternoon, and fresh flowers. This year, we were a bit more productive and had just as much fun.

The morning of May 10th, we participated in the Mother’s Day Miracle Milk Stroll in Friendswood, TX, to promote awareness of the number two killer of premature babies, raise funds to cover the treatment, and to encourage women to donate their excess breast milk. After all, it is essential to the prevention and treatment of babies suffering from the excruciating bowel disease called Nectrotizing Enterocolitis. Learn the Fast Facts of Miracle Milk here.
